Melodies, melodies, melodies!

“Hardliners” - Holcombe Waller
I gotta give kudos to Starbucks on this one. Their little iTunes “Pick of the Week” cards contain some nice stuff sometimes!
On another note: I couldn’t take this video seriously at first but it grew on me with their crazy alternating skills. It’s an interesting one.
Feedback, “Likes” and Reblogs are much obliged :)
Songs like this make me feel nervous for some reason. I can’t be the only one.. right?
“Got ‘Til It’s Gone” - Janet Jackson
With Q-Tip on the track? Can’t believe I almost forgot about this song from childhood!
NEW MUSIC: Daphne Loves Derby - “Mare Infinitas”
“Paradise” - Coldplay
Coldplay is amazing! I saw the performance of this song on the Grammy’s the other day so I felt this audio post was necessary for the lovers that are still searching for paradise.. and for those who’ve found it already.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

-Nujabes/J DillaAlrighty yall… If you have about an hour or so of your time to celebrate two of hip hops most unique producers on their birthdays this evening, please go on ahead and listen to this smooth mix done in dedication to the talented J Dilla and Nujabes by DJ Eufonik.
Kick back, minds open, and let’s just reflect on the legacy these two hip hop pioneers had left for us…
I truly believe that there seems to be some sort of “void” in the wake of the recent mainstream rap/hip-POP scene in the past couple years. Granted, yes most artists may be talented… But that talent doesnt mean SHIT if the content is nothing but the same old bullshit we expect from love and materialistic things.
artists now i believe are either AFRAID or NOT GIFTED enough to expand beyond their “comfort” zone of lyricism. yes, love is a universal THING that everyone can all relate to… but I honestly cant differentiate one artists from another if their perception of love is nothing but the process of MAKING LOVE.
Music… It speaks out to the people. It speaks to the community, not DIRECTLY… But it impacts everyones lives SUBLIMINALLY. So if you want to know why a majority of Americans are associated with such things as uneducated, unsophisticated, ignorant, selfish individuals… listen to what the airwaves are pumping out of their stations. listen to the artists, focus on the lyrics, and you’ll begin to understand.
I want my true Hip Hop BACK now please. I could go on, but thats this mans two cents.

“Isn’t She Lovely” - Stevie Wonder (Glee Version) & “Lost Without U” - Robin Thicke
Haven’t performed in a while but I broke the dry spell tonight. It wasn’t as good for me as I wanted, but at least I got my nervousness off my chest. My first step of the staircase has been taken.. now on to do more damage in the future!
According to this, major labels will be abandoning the CD-format by the end of 2012 and replacing them with downloads/streams via iTunes and other music services. The only CD-formats that will be left over will be the limited edition ones, which will not be available for every artist.
Me and a few other fellow musicians might not ever get the chance to have our own faces spinning rapidly around and around. I’m a bit sad because of this..
Old song, new recording!
Hey Love (Just Like The Rest) - Mike Wingless
